About the role
This role provides assistance and support to the wider team including but not limited to procurement, budget management, partnering with other legal entities and countries and ad hoc project support.
The role holder will consider the requirements of the position to identify and make improvements and develop new ideas, methods and services. Consider the scope for autonomy within the role. Work under general direction within a clearly defined accountability framework. Is able to plan and control own work, selecting and utilising effectively appropriate methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards, to meet all targets set. Consider whether the job has budgetary responsibility and the level of its contribution to influencing the achievement of the function’s financial results.
Main responsibilities:
Administer and manage the purchase order process on behalf of the team, ensuring budgetary and process compliance.
Assisting with the management of the budget for third party providers
Identifies control weaknesses and in the team’s procurement process and works with relevant parties to address.
Makes recommendation for improvement control of aspects of the total team’s procurement process
Monitors procurement process compliance and produces appropriate KPIs.
Builds and maintains good working relationships with the team’s customers including other legal entities and countries.
Work closely with Service Owners and SAM team to build a comprehensive database of service renewals. Ad hoc elements of supplier and asset management
Hybrid Working – 3 days in office, 2 days from home
We currently operate a fixed hybrid working approach for Support Office team members with a mix of remote and office-based working. Our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with team members able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
What you’ll need to have
Excellent communication skills
Confidence in liaising with senior stake holders
Proficient in MS Office – Excel, outlook etc
Ability to build effective working relationships
Attention to detail – working with budgets and supplier contracts
It would be great if you also have
Knowledge of mobile phones, sim cards and laptops
Familiarity of end user technology such as mobile phones, SIMs, PCs and desktop applications
