Job description
Recra are working in partnership with a well-established engineering company who are seeking a permanent Assistant Management Accountant to join their vibrant finance team in Wellesbourne.
Main duties and role responsibilities:
The role includes responsibility for a number of accounting tasks, analytical tasks, processing of expenses, as well as general day-to-day administration tasks mainly within the finance department. In addition, there will be an opportunity to support the senior members of the department with ad hoc tasks as required.
Essential to the role is the completion of tasks ensuring a high level of accuracy, diligence, and pro-active thinking.
The role offers an opportunity to develop new skills and processes within the department and to actively contribute to change and improvement. Responsibilities:
- Daily/Weekly Sterling Bank Accounts Reconciliation
- Daily/Weekly Currency Bank Accounts Reconciliation
- Cashflow Actuals Reporting
- Monthly Spares/Workholding Margin Analysis
- Monthly reconciliation of Machine Accessories costings
- Monthly Sales Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Bank / Stock / Fixed Asset Reconciliations
- Analysing, Processing, Payment of Employee Expenses
- Analysing and posting Company Credit Cards
- Collation of employee private mileage returns
- Collation of employee overtime in preparation for payroll
- Monthly preparation of marketing and service contract reports
- Financial KPIs
- Maintenance of company car records
- Set up new customer and supplier accounts as required
- Preparation of Machine Costing Analysis
- Any other duties that may be required of you from time to time
Knowledge skills and experience required:
- Polite yet assertive character.
- High level of organisational skills and aptitude for customer care.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
- Analytical nature.
- Numerically literate.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Can-do attitude.
- IT literate and diligent record keeping.
- Experience of Sage 200 an advantage
