Part-Time Senior Accountant
Our client is a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants with an impressive client base. Based in the Kingston upon Thames area of Surrey, they currently seek an ACA or ACCA Qualified Senior Accountant to join their team on a Part-Time basis. Applications from QBE and Part Qualified Accountants will also be considered.
This fantastic firm offers a full range of specialist accounting, tax and auditing services to SME clients. They have a highly experienced and well-motivated team and rarely need to recruit.
The Role
- This is a newly created role due to continued client gains.
- It is envisaged this role will be for 3-4 days per week or the equivalent hours (circa 21.5 to 30 hours). Whilst our client does prefer staff to be office based, they can provide some hybrid working. They can also offer flexible working hours.
- Reporting directly to the Partners, you will also work closely with other senior members of the team and enjoy lots of autonomy. The role is varied and will cover all aspects of working within general practice.
- You will be a first point of contact for a client portfolio - so strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
The core responsibilities include:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts
- Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Calculating personal and corporation tax returns
- Overseeing some bookkeeping including VAT returns.
- Some assistance with audits may be required, although previous auditing experience is not essential.
Package
- Salary of £40,000 to £50,000 pro rata
