SCADA Manager - Renewable Energy
£75,000-£80,000 + package

Our client is a power response specialist, providing vital energy security to a UK electricity market which increasingly relies on renewable energy as we transition to a Net Zero economy. The client deploys a range of technologies to support the UK in this transition and as a result they are an increasingly integral provider of flexible power response services to the UK electrical grid.
As a key element of their next phase of growth they are now seeking a SCADA Manager to take responsibility for overseeing and maintaining the current system, as well as expanding the system to new sites. The SCADA manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of processes through effective SCADA system management.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be working in highly profitable company with a small team. As such you will take full lead in this area, though you will have support from other engineers in the company. You will work closely with a Data Analysis Manager coordinating collection of site data in databases such as MS SQL.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of both technical aspects and managerial skills to successfully lead SCADA projects and teams. Educated to degree level - BTEC, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent by experience, you can point to extensive and proven project experience with examples of clear leadership achievements. Ideally you will have significant experience within an aligned industry - working with regulatory bodies and/or renewable energy services will give you a distinct advantage.
Technical requirements for the role include:
* Writing Specifications eg FDS.
* SCADA/HMI Intouch is preferred (screens, scripts, database interfacing).
* Testing, Acceptance Testing & Commissioning.
* Training of customer personnel.
* MS SQL Server Database programming
* Demonstrate previous experience in this type of roll
* PLC programming experience, ideally with IDEC PLCs.
* Experience with industrial communication standards such as Modbus and OPC UA.
* Experience with industrial communication and HMI software such as Kepware and Aveva Edge.
* Experience in designing data cabinets.
