Interim Occupational Therapist

Location: Wigan

Salary: £30-£35 per hour

3 month contract with view to extend

As an Interim Occupational Therapist, your role involves responding to the needs of both children and adults, conducting assessments and providing interventions to enhance health and well-being in home and community settings. For adults, you will specialize in assessing and managing individuals with physical, learning, or mental health challenges that impact their ability to function at home.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include utilising reablement programs, assistive technology, and adaptations to promote optimum independence. Working closely with the Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist and other specialists in a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to an integrated approach to services. In the case of paediatric patients, your focus will be on assessing, treating, and managing infants, children, and adolescents with diverse and complex physical, developmental, and learning needs. Overall, your role emphasizes a holistic and individualised approach to support individuals in reaching their full potential across different life stages.

Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Proven experience working with individuals across the lifespan, addressing difficulties in daily living activities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
