Job description
We’re recruiting for a Field Based Business Development Manager join a thriving company with plenty of progression opportunities for the right candidate. If successful, your primary goal is to deliver new business sales growth. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is based in the North of the UK.
80% of your time will be in the field, and 20% would be at home or in the office.
Key Responsibilities for a Field Based BDM:
- To proactively manage the regional sales opportunities, ensuring all quotations and designs are appropriately followed up, close opportunities to a successful sale, ensuring excellent company / customer communication throughout.
- To proactively generate new business via existing & new customer base, Barbour ABI, through upselling opportunities and collaboration with colleagues.
- To build a consistent repeat business customer base & stock holding position with merchants.
- Maintain the regional information on the company CRM to 100% accuracy for correct reporting & forecasting purposes.
- To convey to management information relating to product or market development opportunities.
- Production of a regional business plan, highlighting key customers & development plans
Essential Skills for a Field based BDM:
- 3 years proven B2B sales and BDM track record
- Experienced in building strong customer relationships ensuring that you truly understand their challenges to maximise the potential of each account.
- You’ll be used to solving problems, approaching tasks with creativity and a strong commercial awareness to find the best solution for the customer and the business.
- You’ll love to work collaboratively, sharing learning and working with the wider team to open up opportunities and add value.
