HR Business Partner
Location North East | Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Overview
Our client is a large, complex organisation based in the North East.
An exciting position has become available for a HR Business Partner to join an established HR function and support in all operational aspects of HR within a unionised environment. The role will focus on partnering with stakeholders at all levels of the business to provide a proactive HR service and ultimately support the achievement of the organisation’s People and Culture strategy.
Job Description
Reporting to the HR Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of the HR team to champion the People and Culture agenda to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Coach and provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR issues including: Absence Management; Disciplinary and Grievance issues; Performance Management; Terms & Conditions.
- Actively develop and progress initiatives concerning equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Support continuous improvement activities and projects.
- Proactively advise and support management teams in Absence Management, liaising with Occupational Health.
- Assist in creating and developing policies and procedures with a focus on streamlining processes.
- Support and lead HR projects.
- Develop and deliver effective training in HR related topics.
- Support in the maintenance of HR records and systems.
- Business Partner with high level operational stakeholders.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
- Be CIPD Level 5 qualified or have equivalent experience.
- Have demonstrable experience operating at the HR Advisor/ Senior HR Advisor level.
- Be an effective Business Partner and able to develop professional and successful relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
- Have good knowledge and practical experience in managing employee relations matters.
The role is Newcastle Based and does offer hybrid/ agile working with a split of home and office working.
