Role Summary
Why are we looking for someone to join us?
This role reports directly to the CHRO, delivering insights that help move the business forward. Collaborating closely with individuals and teams across HR, Finance, IT and the wider business, this role not only provides monthly reports to our Executive Leadership Team, but also the Board.
We have the opportunity for an experienced HR Data Analyst to join us to use their business acumen and HR experience to bring insights into our talent pool. This role is instrumental to help inform strategic initiatives as well as staying compliant with government reporting requirements.
Key accountabilities
Provide expertise to translate business needs to design and proactively develop tools, models, dashboards and metrics which support data visualizations, insights and supported decision making. Create, refine, and automate reporting tools / models / dashboards
Provide innovative analytical insights and recommendations on our HR KPIs as well as prepare and maintain quarterly deep dive analyses on topics such as attrition, engagement, etc. to inform business decisions
Responsible for KPI management through regular monthly reviews, analysis, and maintenance of KPIs/dashboards.
Collaborate with others on developing tools and models for complex planning processes (e.g. merit, bonus)
Working with Excel and Tableau – data validation/maintaining/designing and interpreting dashboards
Previous knowledge of Visier (or similar) is nice to have.
Continuous improvement of our processes, systems and tools to meet business needs
Proactively share knowledge and train users on data tools and models as well as provide troubleshooting support.
What you bring
Skills & Experience
Min. 5 years of experience in a similar role
Highly numerate with excellent data manipulation skills and a proven ability to analyse / interpret complex datasets (ideally experienced within HR Analytics)
Experienced in large volume data extraction from various reporting systems, with a good working knowledge of data structures
Demonstrable high attention to detail is a non-negotiable
Advanced knowledge of Tableau will be considered an advantage
Proven ability to think laterally to solve problems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (confident with complex formulae, macros and pivot tables)
HR Generalist experience or an understanding of standard HR processes and workflows highly desirable
Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Ability to independently develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrable ability to draw recommendations/conclusions from visualizations to answer key questions (data insights)
Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and anticipate their needs
