Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to partner with a prestigious firm of Chartered Accountants based in Durham, in their search for a skilled and ambitious Audit & Accounts Senior. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team within a forward-thinking organisation, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a diverse range of clients.

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional audit and accounting services. You will work closely with the audit team to plan and execute audits, prepare and review financial statements, and offer valuable insights and advice to clients. We are looking for a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues. The role demands a high degree of organisation, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audits from planning to completion.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Provide accounting and tax compliance services.
Liaise with clients and build strong working relationships.
Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
Contribute to business development and client management.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
ACA/ACCA part qualified (ideally).
Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
