Job description
To provide a high specialist clinical psychology service within the Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes. To take a lead and coordinate some of the multidisciplinary pathways in the CLDT. Supervise and support clinical psychological assessment and intervention provided by other psychologists, including recently qualified psychologists, behaviour specialist practitioners, assistant psychologists, and trainee clinical psychologists. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for clinical practice within a current caseload. To utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development and clinical research. In agreement with the Operational Clinical Lead for Learning Disabilities and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, to propose and implement policy and service changes for the CLDT, Trust and other local partner agencies.
