Communications officer

Salary: £24,000-£30,000 dependant on experience

Location: Stevenage

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm

An exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join a friendly and relaxed team environment based in Stevenage. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s public image and communication strategy. From managing social media channels to engaging with stakeholders and monitoring industry trends, you will focus on enhancing our clients visibility.

Responsibilities will include:

• Social Media Management – taking charge of all corporate social channels ensuring that all content is engaging, on brand and aligned with our clients communication strategy to raise their profile
• Management of public inbox, responding promptly and professionally to all enquiries
• Act as point of contact for media enquiries, coordinating responses and providing information under guidance of senior management
• Stakeholder engagement, developing relationships with all relevant trade, regulatory and other bodies relevant to the company
• Keep a close eye on media trends and industry developments, identifying opportunities to enhance our organization’s visibility and reputation
• Research opportunities to participate in school and higher education projects and programmes, including giving presentations or small workshops
• Assist with annual reporting

Skills required:

• Experience in a similar communications role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly
• Represent the organisation professionally in all interactions
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all communications
• Ability to stay informed about industry trends
• Experience having worked in the Gaming Industry, or having a personal interest in video games, or knowledge of them and PEGI ratings
