As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in our inclusive learning environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to enhance the educational experience of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons, under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet individual needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
- Support students with personal care and additional requirements, fostering independence and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Forge positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Collaborate with the class teacher, therapists, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
