Position Statement:

As a Pensions Analyst, you will play a key role as a subject-matter expert and supporting on all our pension provisions within the region.  You will need to be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills and some technical pensions experience.  You will have a good understanding of pension plan operations (DB and DC), gained from a similar role in-house or in consultancy. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in a career in pensions, and a passion for delivering high-quality service and making a difference to our Team Members.

This is a full time and hybrid role, with the opportunity to split the working week between home-working and being based at our Watford office.

What will I be doing?

The Pensions Analyst position includes the following responsibilities:

•    Support the management of our pension arrangements in the region, including a closed £300m DB plan and two DC plans in the UK, and a DC international pension plan for our expat Team Members
•    Oversee day-to-day tasks and support the design, administration, compliance and governance of the pension arrangements
•    Act as a subject-matter expert and develop / deliver effective communications to support Team Member understanding and engagement
•    Partner with HR, Finance and Payroll teams to resolve any data and contribution issues
•    Manage relationship with third-party administrators and service providers, monitor performance, ensure relevant Service Level Agreements are met and assist in recommending improvements / changes
•    Develop, analyse and provide periodic reporting to ensure the plans remain effective and valued
•    Actively seek to improve and streamline existing processes
•    Contribute across a range of pensions projects including, in 2024, a review of our DC provision in the UK, our approach for auto-enrolment in Ireland and pensions reform in the Netherlands.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this position, you will have:

•    Good understanding of occupational plan operations and current regulatory requirements, gained from a similar role in-house or in consultancy 
•    Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to make clear and logical recommendations based on factual data 
•    Good MS Office skills, including Excel (pivot tables, charts and formulas)
•    High degree of autonomy, attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
•    Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
•    Fluent written and spoken English, with good verbal and written communication skills to deliver the right message for the right audience

These are not essential but would be an advantage:

•    Broad understanding of general HR practices and employee benefits provision
•    Experience of corporate processes, payroll, budgets and invoice management
