Job description

Software Application Developer

Our client is part of a group of European companies engaged in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of analytical systems, life science equipment and laboratory instruments with operations dating back to 1920.

Reporting directly to the Software Manager, and working within a multi-disciplinary Engineering team, you will have an exciting and challenging role where you can bring your experience with Software development.

Utilising your first-class software development experience, your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Performing as a technical expert in the design development, coding, testing and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.


• Working with technical staff to understand the problems and issues to develop targeted software solutions.


• Liaising with internal stakeholders and responds to suggestions for software modifications or improvements.


• Participating in the development of software process and documentation.


• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team


• members.

With a Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science, ideally with 3 years previous commercial or industrial software product development. You will have a proven background as a Software Application Developer developing cutting edge products. You will be able to demonstrate software development to meet company and industry requirements and regulations.

You will have proven experience utilising a range of development languages including C#, .NET Framework and database technologies (SQL/Oracle) with experience working within the Agile SCRUM Framework.
