Executive Headteacher Vacancy

Permanent from September 2024

Employer Epworth Education Trust

Salary L21 (£77,195) to 27 (£89,414)

Closing date 25th March 2024 midday

Leyland Methodist Primary Schools, based in Leyland in Lancashire, are a loving and inclusive federation of the Junior and Infant Schools, rooted in Christian values and a nurturing ethos we provide a positive learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential.

The federation is proud to support over 460 pupils. About one third of our children are eligible for free school meals.

This is a rare opportunity, due to the retirement of the current Executive Headteacher who has created a strong foundation for her successor to help write the next chapter of our school’s vibrant history, to continue to enable all children to flourish and succeed spiritually, personally, socially, emotionally, and academically – with opportunities to enhance what is currently being achieved.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful leadership and a commitment to ensuring that Leyland Methodist Schools continue to be a happy and thriving environment where young people can flourish.

By joining Leyland Methodist Schools, you will soon be part of the Epworth Education Trust. We are a family of schools who have a genuine commitment to collaboration, innovation, and wellbeing. Underpinning this is our motto that each and every one of us should “do all you can" to help our schools and communities to flourish and succeed.
As part of the post, the candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with partners across the Trust and play a role in helping to support high standards of leadership, teaching, learning and behaviour across all our schools.

In return, we can offer you:
• Wonderful, enthusiastic children who are polite, hardworking, and generous.
• Caring, dedicated, and hardworking staff and a supportive and committed Trust Board and Governing Body.
• A welcoming local community.
• The support of a strong and skilled Trust Central Team.
• A Wellbeing Day.
• Tech and Cycle salary sacrifice schemes as well as other discount schemes.
• Access to Employee Assistance Programme.
• Access to training opportunities and professional development.
