Job Title: Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support for Pupil with Autism

Contract: Full time, temporary

Hours: Mon- Fri 8:30-3:3, term time

Pay: £12.82 minimum

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Cardiff to support a pupil with Autism in Year 2 on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the pupil throughout the whole school day, helping to facilitate their learning and development.

This role is full time, starting on 8th April and running until the end of the academic year initially. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with Autism and a strong understanding of strategies to support their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to the pupil with Autism
• Assisting with class activities and lessons
• Implementing behaviour management strategies
• Building a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism
• Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient and understanding manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
