We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic individual to join our highly motivated Planning, Sustainable Growth and Investment team.

The post holder will undertake a wide range of development monitoring tasks to support the Council’s Planning Service, including: ensuring developer contributions are secured to contribute towards the funding of essential infrastructure; and ensuring development on site takes place in accordance with approved plans. This will include visiting development sites under construction.
Communication skills and the ability to organise your workload in the face of competing priorities are essential requirements, together with well-developed IT skills. A HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline is essential and experience of using Windows-based applications.
A degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent and corporate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is desirable. It would also be desirable for the jobholder to have experience of eplanning systems, preferably IDOX, UNI-form and Objective.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum salary for this position is £28,984.95 per annum.
