Engineering Project Leader
Circa £25 per hour

Gi Pro are seeking a Engineering Project Leader to join a multinational Electric company best known for its work in the Power, Renewable Energy, and Aerospace industries. The Role: As an experienced Engineering Project Leader, you will be required to:
- Participate in customer meetings
- Complete project risk reviews
- Provide monthly progress and planning inputs to PM
- Analyse customer specifications, identify appropriate solution
- Write the specifications and documentation
- Understand designed systems and recommend changes when required
- Own technical delivery of the project inside the allocated budget
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance tests
- Follow up and close site pending lists in coordination with commissioning team
- Ensure RAMS produced and approved before performing any works
The Person:
To be considered for the position of Engineering Project Leader it is expected that you will have:
- Experience with protection relays and panel design for electrical substations up to 400kV
- Good knowledge on relay functions and configuration (Distance, feeder differential, busbar differential, Transformer differential, Over Current,…).
- Ability to write technical documentation such as functional design specifications, test instruction, trip logic overview.
- Knowledge on IEC 61850 communication.
- Industry experience (Power Generation/Transmission, Generators, Motors)
- Minimum 5 years' experience
Beneficial:
- Experience with National Grid projects
- Candidates with proven knowledge of GE Substation automation solutions are preferred
