HazConsult Support Chemist
Location: Wednesbury facility (WS10 7NR)
A quick look at the role.
The role of the HazConsult Support Chemist is to support, develop and interpret customer support requests with mobile chemists in line with departmental KPI’s. The role will vary day to day but will be predominantly using WIP to allocate customer site mobilisation requests to applicable mobile chemist(s).
The collation and support of a chemists visits and outcomes is key while ensuring lists are validated, uploaded, and followed through the system to ensure end to end success in line with goals and KPI’s. In addition to the above, additional HazConsult development tasks will be required with a high level of chemistry complexity.

- Assessment of >25 chemist lists / week with SDS, PTAF conformity checks. Checking and uploading all information to relevant systems.
- Preparation and deployment of >5 packing lists /week according to chemical compatibility/ transport regulation knowledge.
- Uploading of critical technical information to PDA in-cab systems.
- Liaising with customers, CS and IRM to gain job specific information to ensure visiting chemist is informed as possible of each job and site. This will include extracting required information from customers.
- Preparation of quotes for chemist visit / removal / deposal and / or any other HazConsult service using CPQ tools.
- Maintaining customer experience end to end to ensure smooth process, including raising of tickets, ensuring container deliveries, and updating relevant revenue trackers.
- Creation, implementation, and maintenance of HazCoach backing literature for delivery to customers by mobile chemists.
- Interpretation and follow-up of HazPack related samples and analysis.
- Working cross-function with technical sales / compliance teams to ensure smooth process of workload and customer experience.
- Providing remote support to customers and chemists nationwide
Requirements
Here’s what we require:
- Degree in Science (Chemistry or similar).
- Previous experience of working within a technical team.
- Working knowledge of a site chemist and/or hazpak chemist in the hazardous waste management industry.
- Demonstrable knowledge of WM3/ADR.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance issues associated with waste classification, transport, packaging and labelling.
- IT literate – Using Microsoft Office.
- Analytical with the ability to measure & monitor data and take appropriate action.
- Effective people coaching skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Organised with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, verbally and written.
- Full clean UK driving licence with a willingness to travel within the UK for business meetings and project work at other locations.
