Job Description
Your Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Lead on assigned statutory returns, to HESA and the OfS, to ensure they are consistent, accurate, timely and consideration is given to onward use of the underlying data.
- Lead on assigned internal and external student surveys.
- Lead the production of assigned quantitative and statistical information in a clear and concise form, using data visualisation tools (supported by the Business Intelligence Officer, as appropriate) to enhance the presentation.
- Using expert knowledge manage queries, spreadsheets, relational databases, and other tools to produce a range of appropriate, high quality, statistical and other reports, including commentary analysis to highlight important trends or issues.
- Monitor assigned University key performance indicators and provide comprehensive reports on achievement.
- Contribute to the overall data quality of the student record, providing feedback and guidance as appropriate to key stakeholders on student data related issues.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Planning and Analytics Officer will have:
- A degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, or economics
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in understandable terms
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience in a similar analytics role within the not-for-profit or higher education sector is desirable
What's on Offer
On offer for a successful candidate is:
- An estimated daily rate Inside IR35 of £150 - £250
- A 3 month initial contract with the chance of an extension
