The role Thorn Lighting are recruiting for a Head of Product Management that will be responsible for the product portfolio of all Outdoor Connectivity (Sensors/wired and wireless Controls) and IoT Solutions of Thorn Outdoor Lighting. You will run the P/L of the product line supported by the product family elements.
This position can be based in either of our UK locations and the role holder will report to the VP - Brand and Application. The primary responsibility is to develop and lead the Outdoor Connectivity and IoT product lines strategy as part of the overall sustainable growth strategy.
Your remit will include:
- Managing a global product portfolio of Outdoor Connectivity and IoT solutions (including inherent software, hardware and services up to LaaS).
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the portfolio with the brands and driving decision for developments and investments.
- Analyse and track the global market, technology, competitors, customer requirements and trends related to the product lines business.
- Utilise global product and competitor analysis to improve the product portfolio and provide cutting edge innovation.
- Identify needs, opportunities and risks to formulate suggested positioning against competition.
- Develop and define the product line strategy including a short, mid and long term product roadmap.
- Being responsible for delivering a target application and/or customer focused product portfolio solution.
- Initiating and managing global product launches and identifying customer needs and technology trends.
Your profile
Your profile - A background in Product Management ideally from the Outdoor lighting industry.
- Experience in leading & developing a high performing a Product Management team.
- In-depth experience in the positioning and development of Connectivity and IoT solutions, up to services (LaaS).
- In-depth understanding and experience of E2E solution ecosystems and partnerships.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills for current and future requirements of products to be covered.
- Up-to-date knowledge of product management strategies, methodologies such as GoToMarket), tools and lean processes.
