Laboratory assistant

Burton on Trent

Role and key responsibilities for Laboratory assistant :

- To maintain a clean and tidy work area,
- Refilling reagent bottles before they are empty and preparing new reagent and standard solutions for instrumentation
- To maintain adequate records of work done and results obtained, reporting the latter promptly and drawing attention to unexpected features to Management.
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment, preparing or storing samples for technicians

Minimum Requirements for Laboratory assistant :

- Education: Minimum of GCSE in science (or equivalent), A level is an advantage
- Experience: Lab experience is an advantage, though not required
- Computer: Good in MS Office
- Communication: Strong communication skills in English

Pay rate: £10.62 per hour

Working hours:
Monday to Friday
9am-5pm
2 x 30 minutes break (30 minutes paid)
