Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Middlesbrough day services team supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities and physical health problems. This role will involve working in partnership with Middlesbrough council staff to meet the needs of individuals access the service.
The team provide specialist care and treatment for adults with learning disabilities and there would be an expectation that you work into all areas of RDR Respite, Day services and Residential services when required.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the services.
RDR services work consistently to provide care and treatment to adults with learning disabilities although there is primary need for a clinical lead at The Orchard day service there will also be an need for the successful candidate to spend some time across other services which include Unit 2 and Aysgarth respite services, Day services at Kilton View and Thornaby Road residential service.
The successful candidate will need to have a genuine desire to improve the physical health and well-being of adults with learning disabilities. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team enhancing the community service. Working with service users who require specialist interventions due to the impact of physical health and quality of life, including adhering to the trust values and behaviours.
The successful candidate must be motivated, flexible, and able to communicate effectively, and will be expected to take part in the nurse on-call rota .
