Position: Production Engineer
Location: Evesham
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days a week, including 1 weekend every 2 weeks)

Role Overview of this Production Engineer role:
As a Production Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing production machinery, ensuring optimal plant performance, and addressing both operational and business-critical functions. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will collaborate with various teams and individuals across the company to support production processes and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities of this Production Engineer role::
- Conducting planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs of all equipment on-site.
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement in production processes, equipment operation, reliability, and resource usage.
- Assisting in timely project completion and upgrade works to support the production team.
- Supporting the Engineering Supervisor in day-to-day maintenance activities for the upkeep of company assets.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and legal requirements in the working environment.
- Supervising on-site contractors and ensuring adherence to company procedures.
- Reporting inefficiencies and proposing improvements to the line manager.
- Performing Health & Safety risk assessments and contributing to a safe working environment.
- Identifying personal training needs for self-development and discussing them with the line manager.
Requirements of this Production Engineer role::
- Electrical experience; some PLC experience preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging machinery and ability to interpret schematic drawings.
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 with experience in a fast-paced environment with critical equipment turnaround times.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in a chilled environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements and prior site maintenance experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and IT skills.
- Team player mindset and ability to collaborate with contractors.
- Numerate, articulate, detail-oriented, and confident.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable to work additional hours or attend the site in emergencies.
- Relevant qualifications and a minimum of 2 years' experience in production engineering.
