What you will do in your working day

The job role will include:

• Facing and chamfering
• Screwing
• Grinding
• Thread rolling
• Milling/Turning
• Forging
• Rollerboxing
• Tapping
• Polishing
• Cutting billets
• Cleaning up threads
• Cleaning machines
• Following policies and procedures

The training you will be getting

This is a 3 year Level 3 Machinist Apprenticeship, with the first 9 months being full time at the training provider, In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ.

• Level 3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)
• Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• There will be a full time permanent role available in the engineering department on successful completion of the apprenticeship. There will also be opportunity to gain further qualifications.
