Principal Consultant - Civil/Structural Design

An award winning Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy based in Central Belt Scotland are looking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer to their busy and growing team. This firm have a brilliant reputation in the market and with a very secure pipeline of varied and exciting work in 2023 and 2024, this really is a great opportunity.

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh

Salary: £48,000 to £60,000 plus bonus

The role:

• Using Civil Design softwaresfor the design of roads and drainage within the residential, commercial, industrial sectors to name a few. Training provided on softwares such as Civil 3D, Microdrainage, PDS Flow.
• Regularly dealing with local authorities and other regulatory bodies such as Scottish Water and SEPA.
• Obtaining RCC approvals.
• Managing a small team and delegating the workload to maximise efficiency.
• Occasional site visit to conducts surveys & inspections.
• Regularly liaise with other project stakeholders.

The Requirements

• At least a HND in civil engineering or similar
• Working knowledge of civil3D, PDS, Flow or MicroDrainage.
• Comfortable with producing design for road and drainage schemes for various types of projects.
