About the role

Connex Education is working with a mainstream large primary school in Middlesbrough who are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work full-time with their EYFS pupils.

This large primary school is a vibrant, diverse and exclusive primary school, where everyone is equal and academic focus, character building and development is at the heart of what they do. As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils within the schools EYFS cohort, as well as being involved in the school’s EYFS SEND provision, working with children with more complex needs outside of the usual classroom environment, All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment and are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is qualified in Level 3 or Early Years and is willing to commit to this role and be flexible to meet the needs and shortage areas in the school.

Assignment Details

This role will commence after Easter and is expected to conclude at the end of this academic year.

Person Specification

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification, Early Years Qualification or equivalent 
• Have experience of supporting pupils in EYFS in a school or nursery setting
• Be confident working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis
• Good Knowledge of EYFS curriculum 
• Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
