We are looking for proactive Nursery Manager to work for one of our clients in Hunts Cross, Liverpool. To be responsible for the development and daily management of Nursery provision for children.

• 35 hours per week
• 44 weeks per year
• Location: Hunts Cross, Liverpool
• £18.61 to £21.56 per hour (£29,036 - £33,637)
• Start: ASAP, will wait for a completion of a notice period for the right candidate.

Core responsibilities & tasks

• Undertake the daily management of the Nursery.
• Ensure that children receive physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
• Maintain relationships with parents and carers.
• Ensure that the diverse needs of children are met.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of Nursery staff.
• Organise Nursery staff in the provision of activities.
• · Develop and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.Be responsible for all Health and Safety matters in the Nursery.
• Responsible for securing OFSTED registration, preparation for OFSTED inspections and developing and implementing action plans to address recommendations.
• Oversee the purchase and maintenance of equipment and resources.
• Produce and manage the allocated budget and maintain administrative and financial records.
• Support staff in the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures.
• Ensure that appropriate records and administration systems are maintained.
• Provide advice, guidance and training to staff and others.
• Plan the marketing and promotion of the Nursery.

Qualifications & Experience

• BA in Childhood practice or higher
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• Experience in a similar role
• Proven experience of coaching, developing and leading teams

All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of five years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks.
