Your new role, what's involved?
- Conduct inspections of maritime facilities, equipment, and vessels to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Regularly assess the condition of maritime assets, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or maintenance requirements.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the maritime project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and maintain quality standards for construction, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical support and expertise related to maritime engineering, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to address technical challenges and ensure project success.
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in maritime operations.
- Identify and implement measures to enhance safety protocols and minimize environmental impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and logistics professionals.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Assist in identifying potential risks associated with maritime projects and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the development of contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements.
- Provide training sessions to project teams on relevant inspection procedures and safety practices.
- Evaluate the performance of contractors, suppliers, and service providers involved in maritime projects.
- Ensure that all external parties adhere to established quality and safety standards.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to maritime equipment malfunctions, defects, or non-compliance.
- Work closely with the project team to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in maritime inspections, engineering, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Familiarity with inspection tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian maritime regulations is advantageous.
