PROGRAMME MANAGER

£52,000 - £55,000

We offer an exciting opportunity to manage the Programme team, to be guardian of the Company’s programme commitments throughout the life of the programme, to ensure effective governance prevails in the management of all aspects of the programme and to be primary customer interface liaising with Leadership teams in Belfast and Wichita as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Ensuring effective programme management both internally and externally through co-ordination with external customers and strategic suppliers.

· Developing, leading and motivating a team of Programme personnel in line with Spirit core values and leadership attributes.

· Responsibility for the development of strong links and relationships with senior Customer personnel, Customer management and translation of customer requirements into in-house objectives.

· Execution of contract terms and conditions and management of any activity and associated costs which are outside contract scope of work.

· Co-ordination and governance of unit costs and plans to achieve commitments, as well as approval of any spend not within budget. Co-ordination and management of programme risk.

· Responsibility for overall programme governance both for internal and external Programme Reviews, as well as maintenance of an effective management information system.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the application form to demonstrate how the applicant meets essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.

Candidates must:

· Must have a minimum of HND in Engineering or a business-related subject and at least 6 years’ relevant professional / management experience.

· A strong commercial awareness as well as a demonstrated understanding of unit cost and financial governance processes.

· Demonstrate experience in dealing with all phases in the product life cycle and fully understand the problems which arise.

· Possess excellent communication, leadership and negotiating skills.

The jobholder may be required to travel extensively according to business needs.
