Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Practitioner at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Ty Tredomen

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Childrens Services.

We pay an attractive salary of £40,221 - £43,421 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

As a member of the 16+ team you will be providing support to young people as they navigate their journey into adulthood and develop confidence

Within this role you would provide an enhanced level of social work skills and expertise within the team in order to develop and maintain standards of practice and to deputise for the Team Manager on specified occasions.

This can include direct supervision of Social Workers, Students, Volunteers and Support Workers. Assist the Team Manager in the continued development of high-quality service delivery.

For the role, we ask that you have:

Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
Up to date knowledge of current legislation and statutory regulations, research and practice in relation to the relevant service area.
Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
Registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales or equivalent regulators in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
