Job description

Are you an experienced electrical engineer/fitter comfortable with panel building, wiring, and soldering? Looking for a unique opportunity to use your expertise to upgrade advanced semiconductor equipment? This role might be the one for you.

The role:
We are delighted to be working with Ion Beam Services, a global supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry. Their technology allows customers to build smaller, faster, and more power-efficient devices - working at scales 1,000 times smaller than a grain of sand.

As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced electrical engineer/fitter to support their growing customer base. Based in Bathgate, this role will see you operating in a hands-on environment, working closely with other engineers to support the repair, upgrade, and refurbishment of an advanced range of semiconductor equipment.

What will you be doing?

• As an Electrical Fitter with Ion Beam, you can expect to work on a variety of tasks, including:


• Panel building and wiring.


• Instaling electrical controls


• Follow electrical schematics for a variety of tasks


• Provide technical expertise to diagnose and solve electrical issues.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Excellent electrical assembly skills.


• A degree, HNC, or equivalent military training in electrical engineering or a relevant field of study, combined with practical experience.


• Competency with Soldering.


• Excellent communication skills, including competency with providing troubleshooting expertise.


• A UK driving licence.


• The unrestricted right to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship.
