We are seeking a first-class Solution Manager who will be responsible for designing effective and innovative solutions that are aligned with the needs of the customer. You will work across all areas of the business, primarily shaping solutions for bids, whilst also supporting benchmarking process or leading on continuous improvement to achieve optimal results.
The successful candidate will be proactive, positive, innovative, customer focused, responsive and consistently deliver results.
As part of this you will:
- Working closely with Bid Directors and Solution Leads (as applicable), you will support the development of the solution for each bid
- Build an understanding of the market and bid opportunity to support development of a tailored solution
- Review current services, synergies with other Serco contracts, identify improvements, research trends, adopt good practice and assess costs
- Lead or support the design and development of high-quality, tailored and costed solution in collaboration with subject matter experts and operations colleagues to achieve the service users’ needs and the customer’s objectives
- Support design of solutions which offer lean and effective processes · Support the development of the overall vision and high-level design for the bid / project / programme and help communicate this to the various stakeholders
- Be proactive with customer engagement to help manage stakeholders, test understanding, refine requirements and develop workable solutions as requested by the bid leadership
- Contribute to the risk and issues register to ensure these are recorded with mitigations and cost impact
What you'll need to do the role:
- You will have some experience of developing business solutions and/or operating/enhancing existing services
- Good analytical skills with ability to assimilate information quickly, and communicate key messages simply and effectively to the business to aid decision making
- Solid understanding of the UK Government market, services, competitive forces, market, industry and able to apply insights into proposition development
- Understanding of stakeholder management and the ability to develop effective relationships at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence effective outcomes
- Effective management of oneself with a track record of involvement in change in complex and demanding environments, interacting with individuals at all levels of the organisation
- Good commercial judgment and financial literacy
- Willingness to travel as needed
