QUANTITY SURVEYOR | PROJECT MANAGER - CLIENT SIDE

WEST MIDLANDS

Up to £50,000 per annum plus car allowance, excellent bonus and excellent benefits

My client is a privately owned developer who is a sector specialist, delivering sector- defining projects, utilised by household-name tenants. This is an exclusive opportunity to join their impressive team who are all ex-consultancy and are now responsible for overseeing these developments and managing external stakeholders. The same would be expected from the ideal candidate.

They are seeking an ambitious and engaging QS who is interested in undertaking a role in their team which will also incorporate some PM responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a key player in the financial and project management of the projects and would be responsible for managing external stakeholders, professional consultants, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effective project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage the professional team for all aspects of the project.

Interrogate project costs and designs to create value.

Manage costs within the agreed project appraisal.

Ensure delivery of projects to the agreed programme.

Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

Act as the main point of contact for external parties involved in the development projects.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.

Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

Work closely with architects, engineers, cost consultants and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

A Degree in Quantity Surveying, and 5+ years of experience in Cost Management in a consultancy environment.

Chartered membership of a construction related professional body - RICS - Preferred

Experience of large scale projects £5m+

Sound knowledge of legal and contractual frameworks.

Experience of all RIBA stages of the design process from conception through to delivery.

Strong knowledge of construction costs, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel and project management software.

Familiarity with building regulations and sustainability requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
