3 months contract with a Local Authority

Job Summary:

To assist in developing and delivering diverse range of communications and marketing plans

To promote the work of the Council and the West Lancashire Placed Based programme including areas to support the Tourism and Visitor Economy.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

To assist in developing and delivering diverse range of communications and marketing plans to promote the work of the Council and the West Lancashire Placed Based programme including areas to support Tourism and the Visitor Economy.

To support a range of websites using different platforms (including wordpress) and provide web analytics reports using both Google Analytics and Siteimprove

To support brand development and proposition through various marketing and digital channels

To create engaging content for a variety of media including media statements blogs and social media

To provide support and cover if needed to the Content Producer in producing video graphics and photography

To provide practical advice and guidance so that the websites remain accessible and that the Accessibility Statement is frequently reviewed.

To adopt a flexible approach to changing patterns of work within the Communications and Engagement Team and undertake key projects such as the Elections Media Desk emergency communications Council meetings and various events and national trade shows if required.

Essential Experience Required:

Working experience of various website platforms including Wordpress and adapting for different audiences is essential.

Working experience of web analytics such as Google Analytics and Siteimprove is required.

Proven experience and successful track record in organising and delivering multiple communication and marketing campaigns in a timely way is required.

Working experience in paid for social media campaigns (eg Pay Per Click) is essential.

Essential Qualifications Required:

5 GCSE s grade AC (or equivalent) qualification including Maths and English or relevant experience is essential.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 36 hours per week

The role is hybrid with 23 days in the office in Ormskirk and the rest Work from Home. There is also flexibility on which days the candidate would want to be onsite.
