About The Role

Due to the continuing success of our Carriages restaurant, a unique fine dining experience on the outskirts of Hereford, we have a vacancy within our kitchen brigade for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our team in our new exciting venture at The Sidings, which will be situated within vintage trains.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be:

• Setting up the kitchen prior to the restaurant opening.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available.
• As food orders come into the kitchen start preparing the portions of the order in your section.
• Control and manage stock.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of the shift.
• Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
• Enforces strict health and hygiene standards.

We offer on top of your salary a share of tips for 5 days working week (Wednesday to Sunday) 37.5 hours per week as well as other benefits.

About You

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role.
• Proven experience in prep and culinary skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Proven excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
• Ability to multi tasks and work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of best cooking practices.
• Proven organisational skills.
• Proven listening and communication skills as well as written skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures.
• Proven effective time management skills.
• Ability to solve problems quickly.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Ability to be flexible with working hours.
