About The Role
Responsible for contributing to the company's financial performance through supervising the Accounts team and ensuring efficient processing and collection of customer payments.
Main Dut Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Supporting the Head of Accounts Receivable and the Financial Controller in the ongoing development of a credit control strategy for the accounts receivable function across the business unit.
- Accountable for the ongoing roll out of the functions new credit risk tool (Sidetrade) as part of the wider digital transformation journey of finance.
- Become the functional super user for the Sidetrade platform including portfolio reviews with the credit control team.
- Development and issuance of MI relevant to the function to keep management and the business informed of progress as regards to credit risk management.
- Manage the Credit Control Team by ensuring customer queries are resolved on a timely basis and all payments coming into the company are timely, whilst being correctly posted to the system.
- Reduce Debtor Days by ensuring the team are fully productive in delivering against Sidetrade workflows, proactively contacting customers on a timely basis to chase payments and processing late payment correspondence to customers.
- Deal with customer queries, disputes and dropped payments.
- Ensure service center SLAs are adhered to in applications for credit.
- Ensure the function is fully comply with DLAs in regards to credit risk.
- Ensure work is carried out with 100% accuracy at service center & branches.
About You
- Experience in a supervisory or similar role, preferably within a multi-site organisation.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively
- Effective communicator that is able to liaise with multiple departments and external stakeholders.
