As the Market Research Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing a high-performing Market Research Team (MRT) to drive the efficient delivery of subscription products and contribute actively to product development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic company at the forefront of the energy sector transformation.
You will:
• Hold at least an undergraduate degree in a technical or numeric discipline from a reputable institution. Post-graduate study is a plus.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in research, strategy, management, or business development. Knowledge of the offshore wind industry or energy markets, including financing, is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong project and team management skills, consistently delivering quality results under pressure.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in written form.
• Display confidence in face-to-face interactions, seeking to understand and solve problems collaboratively.
• Proficient in Excel with strong technical acumen.
Responsibilities:
Planning & Timelines:
• Ensure the MRT comprehends the importance of timely delivery of subscription products.
• Establish transparent planning of quarterly reports according to the 4C Handbook Guidelines, coordinating input resources for quality outputs.
• Provide hands-on assistance with technical aspects of report delivery when necessary.
Product Development:
• Collaborate with the team and the Director of Research to right-size databases and reports.
• Communicate product roadmap requirements to the Director of Research and assist with implementation when necessary.
• Work with IT to prioritize development activities.
Quality and Workflow:
• Optimize workflow practices and processes, including QC routines, templates, and standardization.
• Ensure team-wide understanding of critical database structures and knowledge areas.
• Implement and oversee quality control procedures.
Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead and manage the MRT daily, providing inspiration, clarity, and direction to the team.
• Organize skills development for team members, focusing on areas such as Offshore Wind, Finance, Excel, SQL, etc.
• Recruit, organize training, and integrate new team members.
Outputs & Success Factors:
• Ensure subscriber products are delivered according to schedule and quality requirements.
• Cultivate an engaged, efficient, and well-structured research team.
• Identify skill gaps and execute team development programs.
• Develop and execute product roadmaps for subscription components (reports, databases, webinars, etc.).
• Maintain high subscriber retention rates through MRT's service level excellence.
• Foster efficient working relationships between MRT and other departments.
