Job Title: Behavior Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Rawtenstall, Lancashire
Qualifications Required:
Minimum Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
Relevant certification or qualification related to working with children in schools
Experience working in a classroom setting with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
Responsibilities:
As a Behavior Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing targeted support to students with behavioral challenges
Assisting in the implementation of behavior management strategies
Collaborating with teachers to create and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
Supporting the learning and development of students in accordance with the national curriculum
Monitoring and recording student progress, reporting findings to relevant staff
Engaging in one-on-one or small group activities to enhance student engagement and understanding
Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to facilitate effective communication
Requirements:
Minimum Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
Proven experience working in a classroom environment
Familiarity with the national curriculum
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
Patience and empathy when working with students facing behavioral challenges
Flexibility to work with students across different year groups or focus on specific age ranges
Preferred Qualities:
Experience working with students with special educational needs
Ability to adapt teaching techniques to suit individual student needs
Knowledge of additional strategies for supporting behavioral and emotional development
Working Hours:
Part-time hours may be accommodated, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
