About the role

As the Service Manager, you will provide leadership and management to a team supporting residents in our Watford detox housing provision. You will support the service’s delivery of a range of interventions designed to prevent the escalation of substance misuse, reduce the harm of any current use and support the move towards behaviours that support wellbeing and active citizenship.

You will also lead on the recruitment and training of volunteer Recovery and Wellbeing Coaches and ensure that staff and coaches are given quality supervision, training, and support.

About you

• You will have experience working in a management role and leading a team.
• You are compassionate, energetic, reliable, and committed to improving the health and wellbeing of those experiencing homelessness and substance misuse problems.
• You will have local knowledge on housing services in Hertfordshire and are able to give suitable and approproate housing advice to residents and staff.
• Patience and resilience will come naturally to you. You should have good interpersonal and listening skills as you will be supporting people with challenging mental health problems.
• Above all, you will be enthusiastic and have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives.
