Cheltenham Ladies’ College is recruiting for a Head of Chemistry. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the current post holder, who has successfully held the role for a number of years, securing the role of Assistant Head Academic at the College.
The Chemistry Department is thriving. With over 130 girls choosing to study the subject in the Sixth Form at A Level or as part of the IB Diploma Programme we can be regarded as one of the largest and most successful Chemistry Departments in the UK.
There are 10 specialist, dedicated teachers in place who deliver lively and interesting ‘hands-on’ teaching, with practical work being a key focus within the department.
The successful candidate will be a well-qualified, inspiring, dynamic and experienced teacher of high calibre with proven management experience who will work with enthusiasm and commitment to get the best from our students in ways that are intellectually demanding and stimulating and will be able to lead and take forward a strong and successful Chemistry Department.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.
