Are you a PASSIONATE and DRIVEN Business Development Manager looking for a new opportunity? OR are you a Children's Home Manager looking for a change in direction?

My client is are looking to appoint a highly motivated and resilient, Business Development Manager to successfully identify and pursue new business opportunities across Childrens and Adults Services in the Midlands and Wales.

You must be an enthusiastic, results driven individual, who is able to build rapport and develop business relations with Local Authorities, Placement Teams, Commissioners, Social Workers and other Key individuals.

**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence and a car**

Job Title: Business Development Manager - Children's Residential Services

Location: Telford, Shropshire

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 plus bonuses

Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday with on call duties

Contract: Permanent

A candidate with a background in Childrens Home Management and a flair for sales would be the ideal candidate for the role.

Requirements of the Business development Manager:

• Experience of working within a similar role.
• Proven track record of successfully building a portfolio of contacts within the social care sector, in particular children's services.
• Experience and understanding of the regulatory requirements of Ofsted and the homes placements/admissions processes.
• Knowledge of children's legislation, in particular regulations, standards and guidance relating to residential children's homes/supported living.
• Experience of working in line with commissioning and contracting arrangements of local authorities.
• nowledge and understanding of the matching process and children homes placements processes and adherence to best practice in relation to LAC.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and an ability to network.
• The ability to negotiate and secure cost effective placements.
