We are on the hunt for a Chef to join our small friendly team within an established Seafood restaurant/bar.
Hours are:
Thursday to Saturday - 12:00 - 20:00
Sunday - 11:00 - 19:00
Duties will include -
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed
- Collaborate with the management team to create menus and develop new dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Experience in kitchen management, including inventory control and ordering supplies
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
