Job description
Key Responsibilities will involve:
- Ensuring familiarity with current and upcoming health, safety, and environmental (SHE) legislation.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the Company's SHE Management System and related documentation.
- Providing assistance and guidance to Directors, Managers/Department Heads, and Supervisors in the execution of the Company's SHE Policy.
- Conducting on-site inspections of sites, offices, and related facilities for the following purposes: a) Assessing the safety and environmental performance of the business and its subcontractors and employers, and generating SHE Support Reports for management. b) Investigating and offering advice on any hazardous practices or operations; when necessary, exercising the authority to halt all further work by the business and its subcontract employees until adequate remedial action is taken.
- Reviewing absences resulting from workplace accidents or injuries and ensuring prompt notification of reportable incidents to the relevant enforcing authority.
