Music Teacher / Music ECT

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Hackney are on the hunt for a Music Teacher / Music ECT for a September 2024 start. This is a full time and permanent post.

The current Music Head of Department has helped the Music Department grow from strength to strength. They've now got a perfect mix of young, experienced and Teach First Teachers. This is alongside multiple Music graduate Teaching Assistants who help raise attainment across KS3,4 & 5.

This Secondary School has produced some incredible Progress 8 results across KS3,4 & 5 and have created a fun and creative learning environment for students.

Experienced Music Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility and more.

Newly Qualified Music Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled onto the schools very own bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young & experienced Music Teachers.

JOB DESCRIPTION - MUSIC TEACHER / MUSIC ECT

• Music Teacher / Music ECT - KS3,4 & 5
• Inspiring and motivating the younger generation
• Working alongside a team of fantastic Music Teachers
• TLR Opportunities: KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities
• ECTs welcome: 1:1 Mentor, bespoke ECT induction, In & out of house training and more
• Inner London
• September 2024 - Full Time & Permanent
• MPS1-UPS3 - £36,745 - £54,571 + TLR (Size depending on experience)
• Located in the Borough of Hackney

PERSON SPECIFICATION - MUSIC TEACHER / MUSIC ECT

• Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
• Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
• Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
• You must be able to work as part of a large team of Music Teachers
• Must be willing to listen to feedback
