Job Title: Specialist SEN Teacher
Location: South East London
Start Date: April 2024
Academics are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist SEN Teachers to join Special Schools in South East London. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with expertise in Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language, and Physical Disabilities. Whether you have experience in Primary or Secondary SEN education, we welcome your application.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development and progress of SEN students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement, behavior, and attendance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialisation in SEN, including expertise in Autism, SLD, MLD, Speech & Language, and Physical Disabilities.
- Experience working with SEN students in either Primary or Secondary education settings.
- Ability to commit to full-time or part-time (minimum of 3 days a week) employment.
- Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
