About the role
The Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) Coordinator Assistant is responsible for undertaking administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Business Support Manager and their Deputy within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service. It is expected that a Coordinator Assistant contributes to the development of the SEND Service by: managing own performance, supporting and working with EHCP Coordinators, managing databases, supporting project work, managing a caseload and meeting statutory deadlines. As a Coordinator Assistant you are the first point of contact for families and professionals and would be expected to answer calls, manage inboxes and maintain strong working relationships.
We expect every Coordinator Assistant to possess strong admin and technology experience to undertake a range of functions which will in turn improve the delivery of the SEND Service
Qualifications
● Educated to GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics an English
Skills and experience
⦁ Experience of working in a business support capacity providing a wide range of administrative support
⦁ Fantastic customer service experience – interacting with internal and external users is core requirement
⦁ Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues and users – collaborative ● A working knowledge of using a wide range of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
⦁ Experience of effectively organising and managing own workload under minimal supervision ●
Experience of providing a good-level of meeting support including organising and taking minutes Experience of developing and maintaining record keeping systems and processes ● Experience of effectively supporting, coordinating or delivering projects
⦁ Ability to work independently and as an effective team member using own initiative. ● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
