Reporting into our Commercial Sales Director your duties will include:
- Holding regular Technical Team meetings.
- Attending and actively participating in Management Team meetings.
- Oversee all M&E projects.
- Take responsibility for approximately 50% of M&E quotes.
- A flexible approach to working hours as this is a senior position.
- Drive forward R&D.
- Take responsibility for all complex technical issues.
- Reacting and dealing with customer problems in an effective way.
- Managing a small team of Design Technicians on a daily basis.
- Developing the skill set of the Team which may involve inhouse as well as arranging external training.
- Making presentations to industry bodies and groups, along with conducting CPD training courses.
- Preparing monthly departmental reports.
- Decision making/problem solving.
- Onsite surveys.
- Onsite and in the factory commissioning of the units.
- Producing quotations, for the M&E sector.
- Producing CAD drawings.
- Liaising with customers both in person and over the phone. This may involve some conflict resolution at times.
- The ability to problem solve and make decisions, and being able to offer sound business reasons for such decisions.
- Offering technical advice over the phone, when in the office.
- As this is a Senior Management role situations may arise when you may be required to take calls out of standard working hours.
The ideal individual will have a range of skills, and ideally will have the following qualifications/experience:
- HVAC Qualification, or at least 10 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, is essential.
- Detailed knowledge of Psychometrics is essential.
- TREND controls knowledge or equivalent.
- Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook experience.
- Previous management experience.
- Ability to motivate team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of swimming pool ventilation is essential.
- CAD experience.
- Previous experience in managing a team of people.
- The desire and work commitment to progress within the industry, this may mean working long hours to ensure work is completed on time.
