Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a nurturing environment for young minds to blossom? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a dedicated team at a well-established day nursery close to Epsom, in Surrey.
The building has been purposefully designed and converted to nursery use that makes the most of versatile play areas to support sound pre-school development. The nursery benefits from having its own softplay room and sleep room, a secure outdoor play area and five individual rooms for an age-specific focus.
This is a bright modern nursery with spacious rooms with high quality resources, including a library, and access secure garden spaces. It’s only a short walk to the train station or there is on street parking nearby.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be organising your key children’s daily routines, liaising with parents, providing an enabling environment, and delivering high quality care. You will support each child’s individual needs, interests, and learning whilst providing effective interaction within a fun and stimulating environment that allows them to explore and discover new skills and experiences.

Responsibilities: - Nurture a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children, focusing on their individual needs and developmental milestones
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
- Regularly observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to share with parents and caregivers
- Foster open and effective communication with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to childcare
- Collaborate with fellow practitioners and contribute to a positive team culture, sharing ideas and best practices to enhance the overall quality of care
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience in a childcare setting
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for children
