Job description
The Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) partners with key executives to drive business results. This position will work closely with key executive leaders to assess, anticipate, facilitate, and lead organizational and core HR activities. This role leads HR Business Partner, employee relations and HR Compliance activities. The individual must operate as a strong leader and collaborator leveraging HR skills and business acumen and partnerships with other HR leaders, to provide solutions and recommendations to align, enable, and accelerate both short and long-term business/change objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Establish proactive HR Business partner model for key executives. Ensure HR Business Partner model for OV is established and understood by OV leaders so they know what to expect and how to engage in the model.
- Facilitate forward-looking discussions on talent development, total rewards, and organizational culture. Partner with Director, Talent on Organizational Design efforts
- Lead Employee Relations activities for successful resolution of employee matters, coaching and advice to leaders across OV.
- Lead HR Compliance activities for OV including HR policy development and updates; foster partnerships with payroll and HRIS.
- Oversee HR processes and identify innovative approaches to enhance productivity and improve the overall employee experience.
- Partner with compliance leader and training team to ensure appropriate courses are provided.
- Partner with Director, Talent and Director, Total Rewards to ensure interaction model serves the business.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Significant experience as an HR Business Partner focused on executive leadership. Proven success at coaching and influencing executive leaders.
- Organizational assessment skills
- Established change leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team of seasoned, expert HR individual contributors
- Deep knowledge of employee relations and HR compliance
Preferred:
- Experience acquiring and integrating businesses
- Organizational Design expertise
Physical Demands:
- Travel to various OrthoVirginia locations as needed
Other Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- 10+ years of strategic HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience
- Experience in a complex, matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills
- Strong leadership and change experience
- Employee relations experience
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to operate at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives.
- Proficiency in HR technology and analytics tools.
